***READ ME FIRST BEFORE PURCHASE***
Coolife customer service was very agressive in an attempt to contact me to make things right on my end. They apologized repeatedly for the inconvenience and offered a refund. They also asked bluntly if I would be willing to change my stars from 3 to 5 if I was made beyond whole again. I ultimately accepted the offer with the understanding that my opinions and observations would stand and I would be open and honest in my review as well as transparent with the whole interaction.
PRO:
-Customer service who cares enough to ensure your satisfaction and their reputation is saved.
- Product had quality feeling fit and finish. Lightweight, rugged shell, decent handle, smooth zippers, quiet and easy rolling wheels.
-Looks good too
CONS:
- It is possible, in my personal opinion, that the zipper design on the tech compartment may be susceptible to damage. The 2 locking tabs on the zipper pulls broke on the first and second use. The reason I think this is because the main compartment zippers had suffered zero damage and were in perfect working order. On the other hand the smaller tech compartment zippers had one break after the first flight (no longer secure) and the second broke after the 2nd flight. I believe it might be design related because it happened on 2 separate flights. It's also possible the first impact weakened the 2nd zipper, but also means another minor impact caused the break. Either possibility means the zipper tabs take substantial hits during travel. My suspicion is this is because of baggage handling practices. I was at the door to the plane when one employee slide the bag down a chute to a handler waiting at the bottom. This employee slid the bag handle first to avoid damaging the wheels upon impact with the bottom. Makes sense right? Unfortunately there is a 50/50 chance your bag will end up with the tech compartment door facing down. This will allow the whole weight of the bag to pinch the zipper pull tabs against whatever hard surface your bag hits on chutes and carousels during the handling process. Guess which part doesn't seem to survive this interaction? Pick your poison, broken zippers or broken wheels. Again, this is just an informed opinion and other than this POTENTIAL issue (which makes the security lock a waste of time) this was an awesome bag. Also, there is no other way to secure the bag once the tabs are busted. If Coolife changes the design and adds some loops, you may be able to use a stand alone TSA mini lock as backup.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I used my brand new COOLIFE Carry on to go on a trip to Hawaii. It took 2 different planes to get there and both were full flights. The boarding agent of the smaller of the 2 requested volunteers to check their carry-ons at the gate, so I went ahead and volunteered my COOLIFE bag. I was asked multiple times if it was a "smart bag", guess it's outward appearance appears like it would be? Anyway, when I arrive at me destination 12 hours later, I see my shiny new carry on has a sustained catastrophic damage during it's very first adventure away from home and out of my hands. One locking zipper tab that is supposed to prevent the laptop compartment from being accessed had the locking tab sheared off and the little nub was still inside the TSA approved combination housing. The second flight it took broke the 2nd zipper tab. Not much use if I can no longer secure my electronics compartment during travel. It's unclear whether this was due to an abnormal blow during transport or whether it is due to a faulty material, but either way, I can't recommend it due to a possibly poor design and/or bad construction. This is no longer servicable/secure so I am going to return it as faulty. I will not ask for a replacement because I feel the design will likely be damaged again during travel.

Taking a carry-on has never been so easy. If you are like me and can’t stand carry-on luggage, this is the best choice! I loved this carry on and saved up for it. On my 2nd use the handle for stuck up so I couldn't put it in the overhead bin. I contacted the company and they emailed back the next day. They told me to empty the suitcase and unzip the lining and use a 2ND person to press the buttons inside while I press the handle down. This was beyond inconvenient. Who has the ability to unpack their suitcase on an airplane or at the airport and to ask a stranger to hold down the buttons. I sent them this video and they said they can comp me $30. This item is trash and clearly they don't stand behind their warranty.
UPDATE... customer service was very helpful in getting this issue handled. I'm awaiting a replacement as we speak.

A few friends of mine were heading to Arizona for a weekend trip a few months ago. I already have a large 28” samsonite suitcase. However for this trip I needed something small and durable. So I picked this one based on arrival time and the good reviews. This suitcase is extremely durable. I had no issues during my travels. You can pack it up to the brim (don’t recommend doing in the long run) and the zipper won’t break. I was able to fit a bunch of souvenirs in it without the weight going over 50. My only issues is when you really pack the main compartment of the suit case that outside pocket becomes hard to use for additional storage. Meaning it will not fit. Personally speaking I like to keep my electronics in my carryon to the plane. Just in the event my luggage gets lost. Another issue I found is that the handle jammed on me a few times. It was a nuisance when I had to board my shuttle or pack it into my car because it would randomly get stuck and would retract so I can pick it up. All issues aside I definitely recommend this suitcase. Plus it’s a great price compared to other models.

At first , I was a very happy about this luggage set. I had purchased this set a few months ahead to ensure its availability for an upcoming vacation. The handle was solid and the wheels glided over everthing going through parking lots and airport to the hotel suite. I felt really good about it....then while on my trip; the carry-on tsa locks got stuck and I was unable to open my suitcase. I came across a solution on Youtube and it worked that night....the following day after boarding the ship, the lock was jammed again and this time was unable to open it even using my learned solutions from Youtube. I had read the reviews and took my chances that maybe the zipper problem that seemed the norm. This was just as bad, I had to break the latches to access my stuff. I was so disappointed but I thought well its has a 2 year warranty and surely after having it only 3 to 4 months they will replace the carry-on. When I called customer service and they took all the info and etc. and sent me a email in response offering me $20 for all my trouble. Unacceptable!!! I then had to contact Amazon Customer Service and then refund me most of the monies minus some due to the fact that it was past the return policy date. I accepted it and returned the luggage set and decided to write this to bring awareness about Coolife Luggage!
UPDATE: Coolife reached out to me after the above review and indicated that they are a small company and working to resolving the problems that have been submitted to them. They have offered me a $50 Amazon gift card which I appreciate and accept. I really did love the luggage set and was very disappointed at the resolution offered originally. All I can say to Coolife is change your warranty if you can not honor it. I would have liked to have the small carry on replaced at best or more money toward its replacement because I really did love the luggage other than the incident. Had I a TSA key that might have been a solution too ( which I have purchased on Amazon to have for any luggage lock problems from any vendor). I wish Coolife the best!

***UPDATE*** I was contacted today by the Coolife customer service team and they ended up offering to make things right and send me a replacement carry on of the same color and model and they even allowed me to keep the broken one which saves me the hassle of having to return it. I hope they get this issued fixed because other than the zipper issue I love my luggage set.
Unfortunately I did not listen to the reviews and I ordered this set. Although, it is a very beautiful set I had the same issue with the zipper breaking. Mine was the zipper on the front compartment of the carry on. As others I contacted customer service as my purchase is well within the 2 year warranty and they started out by offering me $30 and after I rejected they raised it to $40. I recently purchased 2 more carry ons, 1 for each of my boys but so we could have matching suitcases but I will most likely return them and purchase elsewhere. The luggage was only used on 1 trip. I had this suitcase for under two months. The zipper broke on the accordion section. When I emailed the company for a replacement since zipper damage is covered under warranty, they tried to give me 30 dollars because it would be a hassle to send a new one, before offering a monetary partial refund, they sent me a YouTube video on how to fix the zipper which didn’t work. When I told them that the zipper is busted and the YouTube instructions didn’t work, they tried to give me 40 dollars refund instead of replacing the two month old suitcase. I had this suitcase under two months and took it on two flights before it broke. I liked the suitcase but I’m upset with their customer service and warranty claim.
Just be aware that they don’t cover what they say they do on their warranty.
UPDATE: After the customer service team sent me the YouTube video, which I responded didn’t work, they offered me 30 dollars for my time. I declined saying that doesn’t satisfy the warranty. They then upped to 40 dollars. Which I then responded with the warranty that they have on their website. After that email they gave me the option of either 60 dollars refunded or a new suitcase that was the same size but not the same style as the other suitcase because this suitcase was part of a set and couldn’t be split up. I followed up with the replacement suitcase of similar style and they have sent me a replacement. So the take away from this is to keep up with their service team.

I purchased this set more for their function rather than for their looks. That being said, these suitcases look great. I had read that they mark easily and after having taken the large suitcase on an international trip, can confirm. You can see the marks in the second picture. They can be scraped off but it takes some focus and I didn't care enough. The two suitcases are slightly different colors (big one more bluish, small one more grayish) but you can only recognize this when they are next to each other and, again, it wasn't enough to bother me. Both colors are great. They are also both very professional looking.
After having used the large suitcase on one trip, I can say it held up very well to international travel with four total connections. This is the first hard-shell suitcase I've used and it was different to pack two different sides before folding one on the other. The interior zipper shield on one side held the clothing well and made the zipping up process easy. I packed it nearly full with clothing, shoes and souvenirs and clocked it at 55 lbs on the way there and 62 lbs on the way back (I used the expand zipper on the way back. It provided about another inch or so in width and worked fine, though it did seem a little flimsy as I wheeled it around the airport). It seems easy to overpack but that can be a good thing depending on your situation. The exterior zipper was a little rough and was probably the most frustrating part of the whole suitcase. Getting around the corners was tough and I could see if you were frustrated and trying to hurry you could force it and either break the zipper or have the zip not align properly, but I could still secure it by being gentle with a little patience. The TSA locks were easy to set and worked fine, though I could see how they could break if the suitcase snagged at the wrong angle. The wheels are smooth enough, though I've used smoother ones (granted they were on much more expensive suitcases). The suitcase has a tendency to spin if you're not focused on pushing it in one direction, but has no issues tracking as long as you are deliberate. The telescoping handle also wasn't the smoothest, but I didn't encounter any issues there either. The handles on the top and side seemed flimsy at first but held up as I moved it up stairs and into cars with the full load. I can't truly comment on the function of the carry-on as I haven't used it yet, but I do like that it fits all airline limits for carry-ons (while airlines will let most carry-ons onboard, you occasionally see agents checking and multiple bags failing to fit).
Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and look forward to using them for many more flights.

I really love this set. I love having a spot for my laptop in the carry on bag. It’s super convenient when going through tsa to just pull it out. I love the way the bag looks, but I travel a lot and I’ve had the suitcase for a few months now and the wheels kind of suck. They’re cheap and weak. Update: all previous comments are true. The company offered a $60 refund if I would change or update my review, which I told them was extortion. I would not update review until refund had been made. The refund was made. So I’m updating review from 1 to 3. I was able to use the luggage on a recent trip but could not open or use front section. Customer service was not good. I had to write several times before they responded with an extortion attempt. Then emailed me 2-3 times a day for weeks asking for an update from 1 to 5. I have updated with a truthful and honest review.
Original review: I cannot open both sets of TSA locks. I got the set opened for the main body, but instructions did not work for front section. Now I can’t get “reset” button to budge. I bought it in June for a trip that was cancelled right after I bought it. I didnt think to try and open it then. Will see if I can get the locks cut off! Too late to return.

The number one thing luggage needs to do is hold your stuff. The seems on this luggage BROKE on the FIRST USE! Didn’t overpack, even used the extender to give extra space so it wouldn’t break (because I needed the luggage to last a week long trip).But the seam on the bottom connecting the zipper to the hard shell broke after one flight. This luggage is aesthetic, but very dissatisfied it couldn’t do the ONE JOB you expect luggage to be able to do.

Paid $189 in December 2021. Used the product 6 times. Zipper broke (May 2022). Contacted the manufacturer and they sent me a video so I could fix it myself. The zipper broke even more (beyond repair). The suitcase now remains expanded and as a result dips in the middle and drags when you roll it. The manufacturer offered me a mere $35 and would not honor their 2-year warranty, which would replace the luggage. The manufacturer says contact Amazon for a replacement and Amazon says contact the manufacturer for a replacement. What a run around. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE PURCHASE OF A COOLIFE PRODUCT!!!!!! They don't care about keeping their word (WARRANTY), quality, customer satisfaction or customer loyalty.
Two years warranty coverage
Warranty for two years includes damage to components such as top handle, telescopic handles, the body and wheels. The normal wear and tear of the luggage and the loss of appearance are not covered by the warranty. In principle, non-quality issues are not included in the 2-year warranty.
Return for no reason
a. Due to differences in displays and photo lighting conditions, as well as various factors of the human eyes, the color of the product may be slightly different from the actual one.
b. Damage to the cushioning material, film and tag in the packing box.
c. A little sway of the handle and the sound of the wheel as it rolls on the ground.
d. Damage to the luggage and components caused by human factors or violent use.
In principle, The above situation is regard as non-quality issues and are not included in the 2-year warranty.
Return and Replacement for quality reasons
1. If the product is damaged during the transportation process, such as scratches, etc., or due to partial damage caused by transportation.
2. Returned products for quality reasons (in this case, it must confirm the picture by the customer) can be classified into the following situations:
a.Damage of zipper and (Due to zipper is vulnerable part, the order over 18 month is not included in it)
b.Damaged of lining (Due to lining is vulnerable part, the order over 18 month is not included in it)
c.Black wrapping tape next to the zipper(Due to lining is vulnerable part, the order over 18 month is not included in it)
d. Damage of handle
e. Damage of wheel
f. Damage of the body of the luggage
g.Damage of TSA lock

I ordered the two piece luggage set. During the first use, the carry-on suitcase zipper broke. I tried to fix it myself using pliers and it worked for a few more days, only to eventually break again. I took it to a repairman who said the zipper was broken beyond repair and I would have to replace it completely. Remembering Coolife’s generous 2 year “global warranty” policy which promises that they will take “full responsibility” for any “manufacturing and mechanical defects,” I contacted customer service. They offered me a measly $30 in lieu of a replacement, claiming the replacement would take “time and energy.” I declined and requested a replacement or a full refund for the carry-on piece. They followed up by offering me $40 and claimed they could not go any higher. They are flat-out refusing to provide a replacement. How is this taking “full responsibility” for a product that broke beyond repair during the first use? All in all, this is seller is extremely dishonest. Avoid at all costs and spend your money elsewhere!

Really liked the set. I could tell it felt kinda cheap though. And at $200 a set. Should have sent it back then. Smaller carry on bag broke on first use. Zipper snagged itself and is very cheap. Now it doesn’t close so it’s a $200 piece of junk. Much like there warranty.
After contacting the manufacturer they offered me $25 for my inconvenience.
Now what company in their right mind thinks that $25 is going to make anything better. Sure I spent $200 on your set and now $25 bucks is going to make it ok.
Amazon was even worse in this. They refuse to offer any support for this product purchase even though the company has lied about there ad.
Don’t buy this cheaply made overpriced product.
Buy something reputable. Learned my lesson.

Offers me $65 or a replacement. Which is all I wanted anyway. If I give a 4 or 5 star review instead.
They refuse to honor anything until I first change my review. I’m taking this matter up with Amazon.
Again, go buy a reputable brand with actual customer service that takes care of their customers.

11/8/22: they still haven’t gotten back to me after 2 of their suitcases broke on me! DO NOT BUY THESE SUITCASES THEY ARE EXPENSIVE AND SO CHEAP! So I submitted a review (see below) for a carry-on that I bought for my sister and gave it a poor review bc the zipper broke after one use. Around the same time I purchased a set of a checked-in bag and a carry-on bag for myself and the carry-on bag broke after one use (see pictures below)! I was so excited about these suitcases bc they are cute and comfortable, but they are so cheap! Really upset that this has happened TWICE!
Update (in regards to my sister’s bag, bo update on mine that broke near the wheel): the company offered me a $50 refund as an apology. Still not what I paid for initially, but something is something and I appreciate that they actually reached out unlike other companies. | Really upset about this purchase. I ordered the carry-on for my sister’s birthday. She used it once and the zipper broke. And i don’t see any option of a refund. This suitcase was pricey for it to just break after one use. Really upsetting.

Please do not buy, not worth it! Bought this set less than 7-months ago and have used 4 times total (the large bag only twice), and already the zipper and hard shell have broken making the carryon completely unusable and the large suitcase on the brink of breaking completely too.
I’ve reached out to the manufacturer given the 2-year warranty and they advised they can only compensate $40 for a set that’s well worth $190 and is clearly damaging due manufacturing quality AND is within warranty. Completely unacceptable.
Buyer beware. Quality is awful and customer service has been just as bad.

I used this suitcase once, and I absolutely regret buying it. The TSA lock broke before I completed my trip … What makes me angry about this is that now my luggage is completely susceptible to theft. I had valuables in there and had I checked in my luggage instead of carried on, I’m sure something would have been stolen … It’s extremely cheaply made and honestly I think you’re better off buying a good quality more expensive suitcase because unfortunately $100 of your own money will go down the drain anyway. I was very lucky, but someone else might not be as lucky.

I bought my luggage in October, used it for the first time for my Thanksgiving trip. The luggage is cute however the handle won’t go down with one try. I have to keep pressing the button to move it up and down. I was so embarrassed because while boarding the plane everyone had to wait on me because I was the idiot with the broken carry-on . This was a total waste of my money and I wished I knew that this product was defective when I purchased it… I’m stuck with a brand new broken luggage.

purchased 8 months ago. On my 3rd trip, i used the large bag. The zipper felt like it snagged as I was getting something out, but then it closed fine. As we were leaving, the whole bag just busted open right as we were leaving the hotel for the airport, splaying all of my things at the hotel entrance. The bag was not overly full, and had about 40 lbs of shoes and cloths.
During the 2nd trip, using the smaller bag, I had the zippers in the zipper locks, just to keep them out of the way, but the locks were set on 000, so a key was not necessary. TSA broke the bag open still, ripping the zipper and bending the zipper pulls. I blame TSA, but their note says if its locked, they have "rights" to get into your bag however necessary. I cannot figure out why TSA didn't use the key - or simply push the button. however, the bag is unusable now. I hoped to get more use out of them, but the zippers are just not made to last.

Suitcase was used two times and the zipper broke. You can’t put anything in the front pocket if your clothes on the inside is too full. If the suitcase could expand to be wider then it would be a much better suitcase. Can’t return it because it broke on the 30th day of purchase. Waste of money. My kids cheap Travelers club carry-on works much better. Very disappointed and I bought two. One for him and her. Stuck with one broken suitcase and the other will break in a matter of time.
